Caption: slow down and let time go. Don't turn a trip into a hurry. Impatience will not solve the problem. Patience, courtesy and a smile are the keys to many doors.

Foreword: when I was studying in England, I went to France. My usual route was just Paris, Lyon, Avignon, nice and Marseilles, which people who went to France for the first time would go to. A few years later, if I want to go to France again, I have to go through this country with a lot of reputation. It's not enough to have a glance, I want to go to those small towns that often appear on the covers of major magazines, north to Brittany Normandy west coast, where humanity and nature are integrated; South to the fresh literature and art, a variety of styles of nanfa town and the blue coast; It is like pearls scattered in the ancient castles on both sides of the Loire Valley; In the East are Burgundy, Lyon and Annas, a small town near the Swiss border., Self driving is the best choice. Another very important reason is that I don't want to catch the train everywhere with more than ten jin lens on my back.

(self driving route framework)

Self driving experience:

1、 Driver's license

The first thing to solve for self driving is the issue of driver's license, because China is not a party to the United Nations International Treaty on land transportation, so it is absolutely impossible for Chinese citizens to apply for international driving permit. So do not believe lies that can be dealt with. If there are car rental companies asking for this, it can only be said that they are cheating. Generally speaking, we need to take the Chinese driver's license to justice first. However, some car rental companies can also allow car rental without justice (don't ask me why I don't know). From the strategies collected before, as far as French car rental companies are concerned, they are as follows:

1. Alamo / citer / Europcar: notarized. As long as the driver's license information of customers is displayed in English, they do not need an international driver's license, so they also accept Hong Kong driver's license instead of an international driver's license

2. Avis / budget / firefly / sixt / her / Europcar: accept Chinese driver's license + translation notarized copy

3. Alamo: do not accept Chinese driver's license + translation notarized copy

In addition, the French and Italy governments in 2014 explicitly held that drivers of Chinese mainland drivers could not legally drive in French Polynesian / DHI area roads.

In short, the license materials of French self driving are: Original Chinese driver's license + Fair (Chinese French translation) + driver's license translation (Chinese French translation)

(Hertz's Chinese driver's license certificate)

2、 About car rental companies

Booking in advance is a hot work habit in France. After that, you can choose the right car shop early and avoid getting the counter to find that there is little choice; Second, advance booking will be much cheaper. Www.rentalcars.com is recommended. It can compare the prices of various car rental companies, and it can also compare the performance of target cars. It is very practical. Finally, I chose Hertz car, which is known as the world's largest car rental company. The key is that there are many outlets. I have to go to a small town with unconventional routes. After checking, I found that Hertz has the most online stores in the suburbs among all car rental companies. The disadvantage is that the price is not as cheap as Europcar.

(the last car I chose saved a lot of money by paying in advance.)

The above fees include:

LocationServiceCharge、 Collisiondamage waiver、Super Cover、PersonalAccident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage、Theftprotection、VehicleLicensing Fee and Road Tax、Unlimited FreeKilometers。

3、 Precautions

1. When choosing the time and place to pick up and return the car, it is cheaper to return the car in the urban area than at the airport. Because I took Eurostar directly from London to Paris, I definitely chose the nearest city to pick up my car, and finally chose carrousel du Louvre

(Hertz's pick-up location in Paris, the one on the top right is Charles de Gaulle Airport)

2. Almost all French car rental companies limit the mileage to 250 kilometers a day, so when planning a trip, you must pay attention to whether the mileage is enough. In general, if the number of kilometers exceeds the specified number, an additional fee of about 0.5 euro per kilometer will be paid.

3. General car rental covers theft and collision insurance, but the price is limited to 650 Euro - 2500 euro, which means that you need to take care of yourself if you are less than 650 euro or more than 2500 euro.

4、 Traffic rules

Europe is not as developed as China. There are few traffic lights in its suburbs. Most of them are round. There are two things to remember here:

1. When you are outside the roundabout, if there is a car going through the roundabout, you must wait until the car inside the roundabout passes.

2. Always let the car on your left go first.

If you are in the roundabout, the cars outside will not argue with you when they see you in the past. So many times, even if foreigners see you driving around the island, they will default that you will stop. The landlord sees a lot of traffic accidents, that is, tourists are not familiar with the traffic regulations, so they go in directly around the island and bump into it. Turn the light ahead of time when you get out of the roundabout to remind the car coming from behind that you are going out. If your exit is above the first exit, you should walk on the inside of the roundabout. When you walk out of the roundabout, you should also go to the inside road (as shown in the lower left corner of the picture above). Otherwise, in the inner road around the island, the cars on the side will overtake. After entering the roundabout, don't change lanes at will.

5、 Pick up the car

After leaving the railway station, take a subway to carrousel du Louvre and go through the pick-up procedures. When you pick up the car, you are usually accompanied by Hertz staff, mainly to check the appearance of the car and the amount of oil left. If you find any scratches, you must explain them in advance. The documents required to pick up the car are the original Chinese driver's license, the original passport, the notarial certificate of driver's license and the order (preferably printed, not electronic version). During the pick-up, Hertz's staff gave me a choice of two models similar to those on the order. Finally, I chose the one I had ordered before, and then my brother would brush the pre authorization with my credit card, emphasizing that the car needs to be filled with oil when returning, otherwise the cost of credit card guarantee will be deducted, which is about 300 euro more (which is equivalent to deducting all my guarantee money). Then he talked about the insurance, safety and road problems for nearly an hour.

Pick up the car on the edge of the Louvre, easy to find, the address is 99 ruede Rivoli mus é e du Louvre, the address of the parking lot is rue du g é n é ral lemon Nier (in tunnel under Le Jardin des Tuileries).

Pick up the car is almost on this street, through the Louvre. I didn't see it after walking inside and outside for three circles, and finally I called the staff directly.

When I ordered the car, I ordered Citroen C4. As a result, the staff told me that I didn't have C4, so I upgraded it directly to the logo 5008. This car has outstanding space, and the front and rear seats are very comfortable. The trunk is so wide that it can easily accommodate six luggage. The most satisfying thing is that the fuel consumption ratio is very outstanding. The 2.0L diesel engine is very powerful, and it consumes less than 9L of fuel on any level road.

Itinerary overview:

The tour lasted 22 days. Except for the first day and the last day, there were 20 days in between. Among them, I spent one day in Bordeaux and chamonido, so the actual driving days were 18 days. The average driving time was less than 2.5 hours per day, only a few of which were about 4 hours. Finally, it took 7 hours to return to Paris from Strasbourg, which was really dark. Generally speaking, the roads in France are very spacious. Compared with Britain, which has only two lanes, France can almost take off by car. Moreover, the expressways are very developed. Even if you go to small towns like spring city and stone city, you can drive a section of high speed first and then take the national highway, which is very convenient. The scenery along the way is very beautiful, so you won't feel tired. Moreover, the French drive politely, which is very similar to that of the UK. Pedestrians, buses and public cars always go first. However, we should pay attention to the fact that everyone is very fast on the highway, so it is very important to abide by the traffic rules. Specifically, the itinerary is as follows:

Day 1 Paris Chartres mileage: 145 km time: 2 hours

Day 2 Chartres - Giverny - Amiens mileage: 104 km + 134 km time: 1.5 hours + 2 hours

Day 3 Amiens Rouen Caen mileage: 120km + 129km time: 1.5h + 1.5h

Day 4 Caen - montsaint Michel mileage: 125 km time: 1.5 hours

Day 5mont Saint Michel Rennes Nante mileage: 85km + 107KM time: 1.5 + 1.5

Day 6 Nante angers Saumur mileage: 91 + 68km time: 1 + 1H

Day 7 Saumur chenonceaux chamford mileage: 106 + 60km time: 1 + 1H

Day 8 chamford Bordeaux mileage: 429 km time: 5.5 hours

Day 9 Bordeaux -- St Emilion Bordeaux mileage: 100 km round trip time: 2 hours round trip

Day 10 Bordeaux carcassone mileage: 336 km time: 4 hours

Day 11 carcassone - Arles mileage: 230 km time: 3 hours

Day 12 Arles - St. Remy - gordes - Fontaine de vaucluse mileage: 26 km + 70 km + 20 km time: 30 min + 50 min + 30 min

Day 13 Fontaine de vaucluse Valensole Les Georges Du Verdon et lac desante Croix mileage: 95km + 60km time: 1.5h + 1.5h

I should be grateful if you would have this letter and its annex circulated as a document of the general assembly.

Day 15 Grenoble Chamonix mileage: 150 km time: 2.5 hours

Day 16 Chamonix mer de glacier railway station

Day 17 Chamonix - Vivian les Bains mileage: 110km time: 2 hours

Day 18 É vian les Bains Colmar mileage: 330 km time: 4 hours

Day 19 Colmar Strasbourg mileage: 72 km time: 1 hour

Day 20 Strasbourg Paris mileage: 500km time: 6.5hours

Among the above areas, the most suitable for self driving are the Loire Valley area, the flower field area of Provence, and the Bordeaux wine town. There is basically no public transportation in these places. You can either join the local delegation or charter a car to go there. Therefore, having a car to drive by yourself reflects unparalleled convenience and flexibility.

Detailed itinerary:

Day 1 Paris - Chartres mileage: 145 km time: 2 hours less than 9 a.m. arrived in Paris, strolled around to find the pick-up point, and then babbled about the formalities. It took nearly 2 hours, leaving around 11 a.m. Originally, it was expected to be St. Denis today, but on the first day, I had to adapt to the traffic conditions, so I only drove a few roads.

Take off on the road.

I bought the TomTom Car Navigator (model: XXL 540S Classic), and asked Hertz's brother to help me install the European map when I picked up the car. It turns out that without GPS navigation, this self driving is almost impossible. Tomtom supports inputting address through coordinates, house number and other ways. After inputting the predetermined Hotel coordinates for navigation, you can directly navigate to the door of the hotel.

Chartres is a small quiet city with no tourists. It is known as the granary of France and has a vast expanse of fertile land. The town is located on a hill, and Chartres Cathedral also occupies an important place in French religious history and architecture. The cathedral stands on the top of the mountain, with a rich sense of hierarchy.

This church has a prominent position in the history of architecture. It is the first Gothic cathedral built in the middle ages, and has become a model of Gothic architecture in the later glorious centuries. Fans of ancient architecture must worship it. At the same time, fragments of the clothes worn by the Virgin Mary when she gave birth to the baby are consecrated in the church, which have been scientifically identified. So the believers must come to worship.

Before the introduction of Christianity, the church was built by the representatives of Chartres. It, together with Reims Cathedral, Amiens cathedral and Beauvais Cathedral, is one of the four major Gothic churches in France.

Day 2 Chartres - Giverny - Amiens mileage: 104 km + 134 km time: 1.5 hours + 2 hours

I got up early in the morning and left Chartres at 8 o'clock. I wanted to go to Monet garden, and then go east to Amiens. To get to Giverny, you can take A13 (about 55 km to exit 14 (Bonni è RES) or 16 (douains), and then turn to Vernon or Giverny.

on the way. French roads are divided into three levels: high-speed, national and provincial roads. The French highway system is very developed, with a total length of nearly 9000 km. Most of the national highways are ring roads or free expressways connecting cities and expressways. Most of the provincial highways are main roads in cities and ordinary roads connecting small towns. But occasionally leave the highway, take the national highway and provincial road, there will be more different scenery.

Giverny town is famous for its Impressionist founder Monet. It is said that Monet once lived in several villages on the Seine River in the suburb of Paris, where he spent half of his life, created numerous works, and claimed that "the garden is my most beautiful work".

There are flowers, sunshine and breeze in a quiet town, but the most exciting thing is to see the water lilies in master Monet's garden and feel the original scenery he shows in the picture.

Different from the traditional western garden, Monet's garden is full of Oriental elements. It seems that the flowers and plants are loaded carelessly and irresponsibly, which contains the owner's full artistic connotation.

As a place of Monet's creation, it is also a very relaxing place to live. Pond, water lily, willow, streams, porches and gardens are open and planted. The floating world is everywhere, and it is felt that Monet is reflected in his paintings. If you go to the cemetery of Van Gogh and his brother two days ago and see orvey's church, the small but empty wheat field in the last work, and the humble room as wide as a palm where Van Gogh once lived, after visiting Monet's house, you can only feel that art really comes from life.

After visiting Monet garden, continue to Amiens. After driving for about two hours, we arrive at this place with the highest Gothic church in France.

Amiens has the most awe inspiring Gothic cathedral in France. It used to be the capital of piccadi, but now it's the center of a young university town, which was rebuilt after the war, so the streets are much more tidy than many old cities. In the center of the city, canals run through many small fairytale manors. The dreamtalk on the outside can not fully reflect the delicacy of the internal structure.

Amiens is proud to have the largest cathedral in France. The total length of the cathedral is 145 meters. You can see the side door of the cathedral from the corner of a street. Then you can walk two or three blocks to the front of the cathedral. Amiens's Cathedral is the tallest of the completed cathedrals in France, reaching 42.3 meters. Only the unfinished Cathedral of Beauvais exceeds his height. Built in 1220, the church has been listed as UNESCO's world cultural heritage since 1981. I think it's more beautiful than Notre Dame. There are few people. I've been there many times and I've reached the summit. Any small city in France is so beautiful that I cry.

Day 3amiens Rouen Caen mileage: 120 km + 129 km time: 1.5 hours + 1.5 hours today, head for the north coast of France. Normandy is a very beautiful and historic place.

French car fuel is divided into gasoline and diesel. My car is on gas. There are many gas stations on both sides of the city and the road. Generally, there are one every 30 kilometers. There are also gas stations in the big supermarkets near the town, but the price of each gas station is slightly different. When I drive by myself, the price of No. 95 gasoline is always around 1.48-1.58/l, and the price of No. 98 gasoline is about 1.56-1.66.

All the gas stations in France are self-service refueling. The green oil gun is marked with essence or SP95 / sp98 for gasoline, while the yellow or black oil gun is marked with diesel or gazole for diesel. Payment is made by bank card and cashier. The bank swipes the card is the unattended 24-hour self-service gas station, which has a device similar to ATM machine. First insert the card, input the password, select the type of refueling material, and then self-service refueling. Once the oil is full, it will automatically jump the gun, then hang the gun back to its original place, and the machine will automatically print out the bill. The checkout counter is almost the same as the domestic one.

Take a break on the road.

Drive to Rouen.

Rouen's history can be traced back to the Roman period. It was first developed around the first bridge on the Seine River. And the right bank of the "museum city", the left bank is the modern commercial and cultural office center. This is the fifth largest city in France. It records the ruins of the heavy World War II destruction and the perfect beauty of the local hard-working people's unyielding repair, construction and restoration.

When I looked at the photos, I thought the houses in the old town of Rouen were similar to those in southern Germany. Recently, I feel that it is really different. This is the characteristic of Normandy. It should be the "wood rib structure" mentioned in the introduction. The old city is very clean, few people, quiet, shopping environment is also quite good.

Don't look at the map, don't look at the road signs, you know that this is Rouen's famous cathedral, which once gave Monet infinite inspiration.

After a walk around Rouen, the afternoon drive continued to Caen. Caen has always been a cultural center in Normandy, but it was bombed almost to the ground in 1944. The town was quiet and beautiful, and the beach where the Allies landed was nearby.

Caen does not attract too many tourists, but it is very suitable for living. When the weather is fine, it's really a pleasure to bask in the sun on the grass beside the castle or on the lawn of campus of Caen University.

Normandy Museum. It's mainly about the local history, and then there are many exhibitions of cultural relics or antiquities. If it's for the Normandy invasion, it won't be necessary. If it's for the local history and culture, it's worth visiting.

The old church of Saint Etienne. It was destroyed in the war of 1944, leaving today's ruins standing opposite the famous monastery of Caen, which is full of vicissitudes.

Day 4 Caen -- Mont Saint Michel mileage: 125km time: 1.5h

Continue to the west of France, always want to see Mount Saint Michel. Today's distance is not far, there is enough time to stroll in Mount Saint Michel.

When driving on the road, we sometimes encounter the police's temporary road inspection, which is to check drunk driving, violation of regulations, vehicle certificates and driver's certificates. The police are still very polite. They signal the driver to stop first, and then ask for his license, car grise, passport and other documents. Then they will tell you why he asked you to stop.

Located on the border between Brittany and Normandy, Mt. St. Michel is one of the most important pilgrimage sites of Catholicism. It has very important religious significance. Its unique geographical environment, monasteries built on isolated islands, shoals around it and numerous legends over the past 10 centuries have added a layer of mystery to this place.

The town of Pontorson is as beautiful as a painting, quiet and elegant, with authentic food. Compared with the noisy Church of St. Michel, it is a paradise.

The abbey of St. Michel is the most ghostly building I have ever seen, and one of the most characteristic buildings in the world! It is cold and clear in a hundred Li area, but there is a magnificent Island here. The tide rises at night and becomes an island. The tide falls during the day, forming a large area of beach around. Many people watch the tide here.

In the daytime, Mount Saint Michel is enchanting and beautiful against the blue sky and green grass, and the surrounding beaches are like a mirror reflecting the mountain in the sunshine. When evening comes, the surging waves of the sea will instantly block the way to Mount Saint Michel, and she becomes an island, only the little light reminds people of her existence.

Catholicism has three holy places: Jerusalem, Vatican and Mount Saint Michel. Her most beautiful moment is in the early morning, the first ray of dawn dyed the sky red, reflecting the silhouette of Mount Saint Michel, the quiet picture is unforgettable.

Temple at night.

Day 5mont Saint Michel Rennes Nante mileage: 85km + 107KM time: 1.5 + 1.5 have seen the heart of Saint Michel mountain, began to turn south. Rennes, the capital of Brittany, is the first stop. It has medieval streets and traditional buildings on the front. The city knows how to protect its historical heritage. Finally, Nante, the capital of the Loire region.

Almost every gas station on the highway has its own small supermarket, in which there are some refreshing drinks like espresso and red bull.

Some large gas stations also have restaurants, such as auto grill. The price is not much higher than that in the urban area, but the taste is not satisfactory. I tried flunch here, a French semi buffet restaurant. There are quite a lot of chain stores. Vegetables and chips are unlimited self-service after the main menu.

Rennes is an important city in northwest France. It is not only a transportation hub, but also one of the famous university cities in northern France.

Come to France not only to visit Paris, Lyon, Marseilles, but also to Brittany to enjoy another aspect of France. The combination of the new city and the old city is very appropriate. I like the old city very much. It's not big, but it's very interesting. St. Pierre cathedral is recommended. You can't see anything outside. It's shocking to go in. However, it seems that the interior of the buildings in Brittany area are very gorgeous murals.

In France, the overall feeling of self driving is different from that in China. Almost all provincial roads and rural roads here do not have signal lights when passing through towns and villages, but use many different roundabout to control the speed. Under normal circumstances, the speed limit is 110 km / h for provincial roads, 90 km / h for rural roads, 50 km / h for towns and villages, and 130 km / h for expressways. France's high-speed is not all free, but part of the charge, basically all automatic ticket collection and charging, no manual duty. When you see the green light lane with t sign, drive in, press the button of ticket sign to get the ticket, keep the ticket well, and when you arrive at the exit of high-speed toll collection, put the ticket into the toll machine according to the sign, and the toll opportunity will show how much it costs. At this time, you can use coins.

There are not many Chinese who have been to Nantes, such as the Chateau of the Duke of Brittany, the Japanese garden, the ferry of the l'erdre River and the riverside forest. These are typical Nantes' tones.

The green Nantes river.

The castle of the Duke of Brittany is very simple compared with that of Paris. Besides the museum, the castle can be visited free of charge. The price of the museum is 3 Euro. There are not many things. However, if you do it very carefully, you can have an in-depth understanding of the history of Nantes and Brittany.

Day 6 Nante angers Saumur mileage: 91 + 68km time: 1 + 1H

Pick up your car and go to the most famous Castle group, the Loire Valley. The whole area here is a world heritage site designated by UNESCO. It integrates beautiful natural environment, gorgeous castles, splendid culture, and even many famous wine producing areas. In addition, it plays an important role in the history of France, without the noise of metropolis and the passion of the Mediterranean, Making it one of the most elegant places in France, there is no one. Walking on the country road here, you can really experience the authentic France.

There are several kinds of parking lots in France: underground parking lot, open-air toll parking lot, open-air free parking lot. It's a free parking lot opened by open-air people on the roadside. This kind of parking lot is a little difficult for foreign tourists to identify. There is no sign. Even if the residents around park their cars there, the police acquiesce and leave it unattended. To be on the safe side, don't stop at random.

Ange city is located in man Loire province of Loire Valley, which is the gateway to the east of Loire Valley. The man river passes through the city and divides the city into two parts: the new city in the West and the old one in the East. It's a city suitable for living, a city with history, and the most authentic French city.

Anger castle is located in the center of anger city. It has a very aggressive appearance and a beautiful garden inside. But I prefer to see it from the outside. In addition, anger castle is much larger than Nantes.

How does Michelin introduce it? There are 300 picturesque towns along the Loire River. If you just want to choose one, go to somir.

Day 7 Saumur chenonceaux chamford mileage: 106 + 60km time: 1 + 1H

Today, we will continue to go deep into the Loire Valley area and visit the two most important castles. All kinds of introductions before departure are full of imagination to the castle.

Pass by an unknown lake.

The small town of shenongsuo is about the size of a community in China. There are no entertainment facilities in the town except one or two bakeries and restaurants, but it is one of the most beautiful castles in the Loire Valley, across the banks of the Cher, a tributary of the Loire River. As a world cultural / natural heritage, it is one of the most visited castles in France.

The beautiful side is the cover of the French LP. You can imagine the beauty here. Compared with the castle king, the well preserved and exquisite interior, the exquisite garden and the castle spire like Disney are all bonus points. In particular, the story of the women owners of schornoso is as dramatic as the palace drama.

Use a few words to describe her: high-end, elegant, atmosphere. Standing still on the shel river! Rivers, forests, gardens, 16th century farms, children's playgrounds, everything. In my opinion, it is better than shampoos.

There are deer and wild boars that have never been tamed hidden in the jungle of the original Loire Valley. The most magnificent castle in France, shambo castle, is towering. It is rated as the most magnificent roof in France. According to the legend, Da Vinci's design is known as the gorgeous delusion of Francois I and the castle king of the Loire Valley.

Nearby residents often like to make it a king and queen of the ancient French castle with the shady Chateau of xenonso. Shampoos castle is built in the area with the strongest smell of French aristocracy. It is full of forests and rich in wood and wine. The French kings and aristocrats built one hunting palace after another for vacation here, and even moved here from time to time.

Day 8 chamford Bordeaux mileage: 429 km time: 5.5 hours

Today is the longest day of all the itineraries, driving directly from shampoos to Bordeaux, arriving at 2 p.m.

All Bordeaux means to me is: wine.

I have to say Bordeaux is my favorite French city, not just because of her wine. I was deeply impressed by the enthusiasm of the local people and the delicious oysters. The combination of classical and modern city, everywhere is scenery, trams jingle through the bluestone Road, far-reaching artistic conception.

Grape wine luminous cup to drink, Pipa immediately urge. Wine, culture, history and beauty are all in this fifth largest city in France.

Day 9 Bordeaux -- St Emilion Bordeaux mileage: 100 km round trip time: 2 hours round trip

I was tired of driving yesterday. Today I will go to St Emilion village to taste wine.

St Emilion is a famous wine producing area and World Heritage Town, located in the east of Bordeaux. Maison Du Vin in the town can visit pictures of the wine production process for free. There are many wineries in St Emilion that you can visit and taste wine. You can get a map from the tourist information center, and the contact information of the winery is on the map. Some charge, some do not charge, but generally have to book in advance.

Let's leave a whole day here. Good wine must have delicious food. The town is also a world cultural heritage. Half a day when the town gets lost, half a day when the winery is tasting wine, the rest of the time is for tasting wine and delicious food. Even if you don't go to the winery, you can visit the town for an afternoon. The houses in the town are very special, and there are many small shops, of course, the most wine shops.

A handsome young man from the winery warmly received me, but I visited the vineyard, winery and wine cellar, and explained the origin of the winery, grape planting and brewing process in detail. I ordered lunch at his house, red wine with cheese. There are five kinds of cheese. I like one of them very much. There is also a salad for each person, and the bread tube is enough. In fact, this meal is not a dinner, it's more like a cheese tasting, but it's OK to be full.

Day 10 Bordeaux carcassone mileage: 336 km time: 4 hours

The fortifications of today's destination, carcasson, can be traced back to Roman times. In 1659, the Treaty of Pyrenees ceded Luxi Yongda province to France. The strategic importance of carlcasson gradually disappeared. Today, the main source of carlcasson's economy is tourism. In addition to the old city, the MIDI canal also attracts many tourists.

It used to be a small town on the French border. The whole town is an old castle. For me, the old castle itself is very attractive.

The castle is very historical and well preserved. It's a bit dreamy at night. There are a lot of vineyards around kalkason. You often see wineries and busy farmers. It's a great feeling.

The whole kalkason is a big castle, the Earl's castle is a castle in the castle, the glory of kalkason city. There are restaurants, hotels, shops, all kinds of small museums in the city wall. It's beautiful both in the day and at night. Outside the castle is another part of kalkason. It is also a typical peaceful town in southern France. You can have a good time.

Day 11 carcassone - Arles mileage: 230 km time: 3 hours

It's a pleasant experience to drive along the south coast of France, walking in the salty sea breeze and warm sunshine.

At a glance, the beauty is enchanting.

Arles. Quiet small city, at 7:00 p.m., there were few people in the small town. When I went there, I made a joke and thought it was Cezanne's hometown. The residents of the small town were very enthusiastic. Although they didn't speak to me, they insisted on driving me after knowing my destination. Probably because there are Marseilles and Avignon nearby, there are not many tourists here, but the style is really unforgettable.

This is also the prototype of the Yellow cafe in Van Gogh's Caf é Du soir, which has been rebuilt and renamed as Van Gogh's Cafe“ The location of a cafe has a balcony illuminated by a big gas in the blue night sky, and a blue sky with stars shining in the corner. I often think that night is more lively and colorful than day. "Now many places in Arles have left Van Gogh's footprints and colors.

Arles arena is the most prominent landmark of Arles town. This is what anyone who comes to Arles will see. I went in twice, but I'm sorry I didn't catch up with the bullfight. Up to the top of AR è ne, you can see a panoramic view of Arles. It's very beautiful. Last time I went there, I met an aunt singing outside ar è ne, which was very nice. By the way, there's an ice cream restaurant nearby. It's delicious, and the owners are happy and enthusiastic.

Although sunflowers are widely distributed in southern France, Arles is undoubtedly the most famous. Even if you don't love Van Gogh, the sunflower in Provence is worth seeing. This color is especially warm and beautiful under the scorching sun and clear sky in southern France. They are the bright yellow we often see on both sides of the road. You can walk into Huatian when you park at the side of the road.

Day 12 Arles - St. Remy - gordes - Fontaine de vaucluse mileage: 26km + 70km + 20km time: 30min + 50min + 30min

Today is to see the sea of flowers in Provence. Provence is the world-famous hometown of lavender and a popular tourist attraction. It's best to rent a car in Provence, because there are not many bus routes in many places, especially when you go deep into the small towns in the eastern mountainous areas. You can only rent a car when you go to Verdun Grand Canyon and holy cross Lake. But Provence is hard to drive! For example, when you go to the stone city and the monastery of seneck, it's straight up and down the hillside. Many places have slopes of 40-50 degrees. If it's a manual gear, you must step on the clutch! Then we must rent a car with large displacement. If we don't have a 1.5T car, we can't drive it up and down the mountain. At this time, don't worry about the tens of euro money, don't rent Clio's car, 1.5 displacement doesn't run on the mountain road.

Sunflower fields along the highway, in fact, apart from lavender fields in Provence, South France, July is also a sunflower viewing time. Because I have been to Avignon before, this time in Provence is mainly a small town and a flower field.

Many people know that st-r é my-de-provence is a typical European tourist town in Provence, southern France. However, the connection between st-r é my-de-provence and many famous characters and events in medieval Europe is not known: st-r é my-de-provence is one of the addresses of the Priory in the Da Vinci Code. Remy is associated with many famous events. Visit St. Remy and you may find the code of St. Remy leading to the medieval gate of Europe here.

Going to gordes, a hilltop town. It's quite retro. It's said that many movies have been shot here. I feel that there are many such city states in Italy, especially in Sicily. The highlight of gordes is the monastery of Senec, the cover photos of countless magazines and postcards.

Gordes is a typical French town of Provence. The best place to enjoy the panoramic view of the town is on the only way to the town. There is a small platform for parking and taking photos. The rolling mountain roads and beautiful scenery make it a frequent pass place for Tour de France. It is also very close to the famous lavender viewing place, the monastery of seneck.

Walk quietly and feel the romantic village in France. All the villages in this area have such characteristics, because the disputes between feudal lords in the Middle Ages made the whole south of France fall into war. For the sake of safety, the mountain villages are built on the edge of steep cliffs, as if to be isolated from the dangerous world forever.

The monastery is located 2 kilometers north of the stone town, about 20 kilometers away from Avignon. The whole monastery is hidden in a quiet valley, which is also the background of the book mountain dwelling years. It's known as one of the most beautiful valleys in France, where most postcards are shot.

This lavender field is generally not allowed to enter. The best shooting location is the stone wall in front of the lavender field. The monastery itself is also very beautiful, because it is only open in the morning and a group tour in the afternoon. There was a big parking lot outside the hospital. I parked my car by the road and walked a long way down the mountain.

Starting from the monastery of seneck, it's almost spring city. After driving into the lane, there will always be signs to remind you that green is the high speed, white is the general two-way single lane road, and there will be overtaking points in wide places.

Quanshui town is the largest natural spring in France, ranking fifth in the world. Because it's the underground spring in the deep mountain, it's very, very cold. In 30 + weather, if you stand in this stream, you will feel cold and piercing. Under the shade of green trees, the spring water washes your face. It's very comfortable! Many local people take rose wine, cheese, baguettes, books, and have a day here.

The sightseeing spots in Quanshui town are quite concentrated. The water is almost in the center of the town. You can walk up the mountain road. There are many restaurants and snack bars on both sides of the stream. It is recommended to have a bite of ice cream in summer. In addition, there are many natural underground caves on the mountain of Quanshui Town, which is a good place for exploration. There are castles on the top of the mountain.

Day 13: Verdun Canyon and lake St. Croix 1.5 temporary + 1.5 temporary

After a night's rest, I went straight east from spring city to walang solle in the early morning. Today I'm going to open the mountain road for a day, but I'm still very excited because I caught up with the peak of lavender flowering. I'm looking forward to today's lavender fields.

Valenzole is one of the most classic Provence towns. In this small town of less than 2000 people, the largest lavender field in Provence is cultivated. Many residents in the small town are lavender families. They grow lavender and extract lavender essential oil for a living.

When the car passed through the valensole mountains, some signs of purple began to appear. At first, it was scattered in bundles, then it grew in clusters, and then it took up all the sight and spread to the end of the sky; And I finally arrived in the haunted "Provence.". There are many large flower fields along the road. The air of the whole area is filled with the fragrance of lavender. Standing in the flower field, you feel relaxed and happy.

In fact, any shot is beautiful. The weather is the key.

The Grand Canyon of Verdun and the lake of the Holy Cross are the last stops of this trip to Provence. Near the town of St. cross, there is a great location to take a panoramic view of the town.

Beautiful to a speechless place, they stepped into the boat, although the sun, but the lake blue people feel as if in fairyland in general. When the weather is clear and the sun is direct, the blue is unreal. The shore is not entirely sand, barefoot is not particularly comfortable.

Even if I can't see lavender and the holy cross Lake, I think Provence is worth the trip.

I should be grateful if you would have this letter and its annex circulated as a document of the general assembly.

Today, I drove all the way for 4 hours to the foot of the Alps. I had no resistance to the snow mountains. I wanted to rush to xiamuni today, but it was too far away. I had to drive for more than 9 hours. I transferred to Grenoble, which is also the base camp of the best ski resort in the Alps. After about 2 hours of high-speed running, I thought I had reached Grenoble, but when I got there, I learned that there was still an hour's mountain road to the ski resort. I feel that the road in France is very good. I'm used to driving in England. I'm not used to running on French high speed. The road is wide. I really want to drive the car across.

The Alps is not easy to drive. Like the head D, it is a real mountain road. Many places have slopes of 40-50 degrees. If it is a manual gear, the clutch must be stepped on.

This is a place where you can really understand why it can be used as a skiing Holy Land in France and even Europe in winter. It's the vercor mountains, the flowing is è re River, and a quiet town.

There is no luxury like Paris and Marseilles on the street, with simple structure. But from every corner of the street, you can see the blue sky and the towering mountains in the distance.

Bastille, the mountain has a defensive castle, watchtower, the top of the mountain in good weather can see Mont Blanc! Grenoble is also known as the Bastille, an old fortress built near 475 meters to the north of the city. Today, the cableway connecting the Bastille and the city center has become a symbol of the city.

Go up by cable car. The red top cable car is a landmark attraction of Grenoble. Although it doesn't look very high, it's still very interesting to really sit on the cable car. There are several acceleration periods in the middle of the journey, which is an illusion of being in an amusement park. In the evening, when you go up the mountain, you can have a panoramic view of the whole town. When the night light is on, it makes you feel like a world away. Of course, exploration should take place before dark, otherwise nothing can be seen.

when the evening lights are lit

The bright scenery surrounded by snow mountains.

Day 15 Grenoble Chamonix mileage: 150 km time: 2.5 hours

A40 is the only highway leading to xiamuni. No matter where you start, you will end up in a40. The road is very wide and you can rush all the way to my favorite snow mountain. The whole highway is driven in the valley between the peaks, and the scenery is very beautiful.

In summer, Chamonix is not recommended to stay in chain hotels. It's better to stay in chalet. As one of the best and most famous ski resorts in the Alps, if you don't mention the reservation long ago, you can't get a room here in winter. On the contrary, it's a good opportunity to experience it in summer. It's cool and easy to climb.

The site of the first Olympic Winter Olympic Games, you can see snow mountains everywhere in the small town, and the top of the mountain is close in front of you, which is absolutely unimaginable.

The South needle front of aiguille du Midi can be reached by a two-stage cable car. The cable station is located at the "South needle peak". If you don't take this cable car, it will be a pity to enter Baoshan and return empty handed. From the center of Chamonix Town, you can walk 5-10 minutes to the cable station of nanzhenfeng. You can take the cable car to the top of nanzhenfeng and face the highest peak in Europe, Mont Blanc. The viewing platform on nanzhenfeng is well built, which can be seen from 360 degrees. It's a bit expensive to buy a cable car alone. It's more cost-effective to buy a through ticket (nanzhenfeng cable car + glacier train). The price of a through ticket is similar to that of a single cable car ticket.

Nanzhen peak is 3800 meters above sea level. Standing here, you can see all the small mountains. The surrounding mountains are all snow mountains. The snow mountains seen here are different from those seen in Tibet, because the fall of snow mountains here is very large, and the mountains are more obvious. When I stand on the South needle peak, I feel like I have come here. My trip to France is worth it.

In the early morning, there are a lot of clouds and fog, which cover the Nanzhen peak at first. The platform waiting in the middle has a gloomy feeling of lonely mountain. But when the clouds and fog disperse, the blue sky, white clouds and high mountains are so close in front of us.

Trekker on foot around Xuelang mountain in telephoto. At that time, I didn't know the meaning of hiking. After returning from the hike in ponhill, Nepal, I couldn't help it. After walking the act loop and the EBC Everest base camp, I want to go to haute route next time.

Day 16 chamonixmer de glacier railway station

The station of mer de glacier is just behind Gare de Chamonix. It's very convenient to go to train Du montanevers mer de glacier. You can walk around the center of the town, cross the river and go northeast. A morning after the Mont Blanc, at noon by train to the glacier nearby. It's great to walk into the glacier for the first time. The crystal clear glacier is decorated with rich colors. I bought a one-day pass, so the cost of taking the cable car to Mont Blanc and the small train to the glacier and taking the cable car to the glacier is included.

Watch the glacier in the distance, glacier Du Tacul, and the mountains around the glacier. Then special Cableways take tourists to the glacier in the middle of the mountains, and then enter the glacier for sightseeing.

The mer de glacier is the largest glacier in France. It winds seven kilometers through 200 meters of mountains, through huge rocks and towers. It's named by the Englishman William? Named after Wyndham, he was the first foreigner to discover the glacier in 1741. The glacier has now risen to 90 meters and has become a popular tourist attraction since the opening of the railway in 1908.

Day 17chamonix - Vivian les Bains mileage: 110km time: 2 hours

In fact, the right route to Evian should be to take the expressway to Geneva first, then go down the fork road when I get to Geneva, and finally go along the Geneva Lake. I don't know why I foolishly chose the nearest mountain road, which is actually far away.

Yiyun town is actually very small, along Lake Leman, back to the Alps. The center of the city is on the edge of Lake Laiman. There is a long harbor and dock along the lake. It is very comfortable to walk or ride a bicycle.

Evian town in France is one of the most romantic towns I have ever been to. The water of Lemont lake is in the mist. Walking along the lake in the morning, the air is full of drizzle. Staying in a family hotel by the lake, the hostess bakes delicious bread, and all kinds of jam lead you to have a good appetite and enjoy.

There is no need for too much sightseeing or activities, just walking by the lake, doing spa, enjoying food, jogging in the mountains, cycling and other activities. Compared with other places, Yiyun has fewer tourists.

For the visit to Yiyun Town, we first recommend two museums related to Yiyun mineral water. One is next to Hilton Yiyun Hotel, which is a museum of Yiyun company. The second is a small exhibition hall related to Yiyun mineral water in the city center, which is in an old building.

On the edge of the spring, there is a climbing cable car leading to the Royal Evian hotel. It is located in the middle of the mountain behind Evian Town, overlooking the whole lake Laiman and Lausanne on the other side of the lake. You can go up the mountain directly along the mountain road or take a small cable car.

Day 18 É vian les Bains Colmar mileage: 330 km time: 4 hours

If most people go to Evian, they will choose to go to Geneva and Montreux at the same time. They have to pass through the thunderous city. Because they have been there before, they will pass to Colmar. There are two routes from Evian to Colmar, A36 Expressway (in France) and A12 Expressway (in Switzerland). A12 takes less time than A36, but there is an additional toll station. I don't remember the specific price, but it's an hour less than the time.

Colmar is really a picture. The town is built on the water. It is a small town surrounded by ponds and rivers. Some say it's Little Venice. Colmar is a small town in the middle ages. Many churches and monasteries are well preserved because they have not been destroyed by war. For example, isehan monastery, which is famous for its altar paintings, has been listed as the most noteworthy building in France by the French government.

It's a typical small classical city in Europe, with a quiet environment and not many people. The old houses in the old city have a history of more than 100 years. The colorful stone houses are particularly beautiful and picturesque.

Petite Venise。 Any place added "small" so and so, people can't help but compare with the original. But in fact, many places have their own flavor and don't have to be attached to a famous place. It can't be compared with Venice, but if you leave Venice behind, it's also very beautiful.

The most beautiful medieval street in the old city, with many beautiful wooden houses and shops on both sides.

too beautiful to be absorbed all at once.

Day 19colmar Strasbourg mileage: 72km time: 1 hour

Strasbourg has access to the highway networks of France and Germany. Via the French expressway network, I can go to Paris via A4, A34, A31 and A32 expressways to the West and North. I arrived in Strasbourg from the south to the North via A35. It's not far from Colmar. It's almost an hour. I wanted to go to the wine Road, but I was tired after driving for nearly 20 days.

Strasbourg is located on the border of Germany and France. It takes only one hour to get from Colmar. The architecture is influenced by the Alsace style. The city is surrounded by water. It's very beautiful. This is the background of the last lesson, in Alsace, France, where most people speak German. Many of the buildings are around the 14th century, with the exception of the EU headquarters building.

The Cathedral of Notre Dame in Strasbourg is in the middle of the downtown area. You can see the unique spire from a distance. Follow the opposite road to little France. The houses built on the water, the short trees, under the dazzling sun, are a bit hazy of the water town in the south of the Yangtze River, which is poetic and picturesque.

With a height of 144 meters, the church became the world's tallest building in 227 years from 1625 to 1874, and is still the sixth tallest Church in the world. Victor Hugo once described it as "a great and delicate miracle", while Goethe described it as "a solemn, towering and vast tree of God". The whole church is developing upward. It's huge and slender. Standing in front of the church, it feels overwhelming.

Little France. There are many old buildings, rivers, dams and fortifications. It's also the best way to walk from the railway station to Strasbourg cathedral.

The river flows quietly, no one disturb, and few cars make noise. You can patiently compose a picture of the old tree just sprouting green on the bank, and wait for a bunch of sunshine to change your mood on a cloudy day.

Day 20 Strasbourg Paris mileage: 500km time: 6.5hours

Today is the last day of the whole journey. Without any stop, I rushed directly from Strasbourg to Paris. First I took the N4 national highway, then I went on the A5 highway to enter Paris. After driving for nearly 7 hours, I s
