Since I had been in Korea before my departure, the planning of my trip fell on David's classmate. Due to my career, we almost made complete preparations for the trip. Our goal is to eat all kinds of food in Harbin, visit the ice and snow world, Sophia Church and other beautiful scenery. Start small train mode

Subaru is preparing for this ice and snow driving experience with 2015 new Aohu, which is divided into 2.5i and 2.0dit models. These vehicles are equipped with symmetric AWD, Subaru boxer and advanced electronic stability system.

When the vehicle is driving on the pure snow road, as long as it doesn't accelerate the braking vigorously, it can hardly feel any big difference from walking on the ordinary road. It's not hard to drive. I'm still proud of my driving level. But when I switch to the ice, everything will be different. As there is almost no friction on the ice, the steering action must be advanced, At the beginning, I almost lost control. Fortunately, with the help of VDC vehicle dynamic control system, I think my uncle was scared when he sat in the back. Later, I learned to control the accelerator and brake more gently, so as to alleviate the situation of oversteer and understeer and further improve the controllability of the vehicle. However, I still need to drive slowly, otherwise, like in the racing game, I will either turn around or slide out of the lane. The whole process is very exciting and fun.

Ice and snow cross-country:

The key projects are ice snow uphill, ice snow cross axis, ice snow side slope and ice snow downhill. In fact, these projects are a piece of cake for the new Aohu, which adopts the left-right symmetrical all-time four-wheel drive system. The coach told me that there are two key experiences. First, the new Aohu is equipped with the X-mode driving aid system for the first time. After the X-mode is turned on on the unpaved road, the computer will carry out comprehensive control on the engine, transmission, braking and other parts, which can significantly improve the operability and stability of Aohu. The second is that the new Aohu has a ground clearance of 213mm. When driving on off-road roads, we can rest assured that we only need to be optimistic about the forward direction, and we don't need to worry about the bottom support. Good trafficability is one of the advantages of the new Aohu. Moreover, after the X-mode is turned on, the steep descent system will automatically turn on, and the brake and accelerator can be released when going downhill, The system will control the vehicle to go downhill smoothly. This is my first time to experience the experience of an off-road vehicle. It's amazing.

The most exciting test driving subject is to gallop on the ice and snow rally track. According to the coach, driving on ice and snow track is very different from daily driving, and even different from the conventional track running method. On ice and snow road, all actions should be done in advance, because ice and snow road will delay all actions. At first I drove on the regular habit of driving, so I always slowed down a bit. Fortunately, the awesome four-wheel drive system was very close to the vehicle. The vehicle dynamic control was also very powerful. It always saved my mistakes at the critical time, and later I learned that there was also a configuration called active torque guidance system on the tiger body. This system will greatly improve the stability of the vehicle and the control of the traction system. By adjusting the distribution of braking force, the traction of the outside wheels will be increased. This is one of the reasons why I didn't lose control on the ice and snow road. Later, under the guidance of the coach, I gradually realized the driving skills, and I was a little more proficient in the control of the vehicle. Finally, I was able to run fast on the ice and snow road. As for David, he can be a performance. He drives the proud tiger through a corner and raises a piece of snow fog, fast and coherent, just like the scene in a movie.

In the ice and snow world, we stop and go. Two hours later, we are cold and hungry. We are going to eat the northeast characteristic fish in iron pot. The destination is a shop called Jiangbei laoyutou, which is not far from the ice and snow world. It's very famous. It should be noted that this shop orders at least three jin of fish when ordering. Many people order a large pot of fish and add a lot of dishes. However, they think they will be hungry when waiting for the fish, so they order fried dishes. As a result, when the fish is ready to eat, they are already half full of other dishes. Fortunately, local was here. He was experienced enough to avoid this kind of dilemma. After dinner, local said that there were other things the next day, so he lent us his car directly, so that we could visit the scenic spots in Harbin more conveniently and take some beautiful pictures of his car by the way.

It's not cold, it's very cold. In freezing Harbin, it's the most painful thing to get on the bus every morning. The outdoor temperature is between - 15 ℃ and - 20 ℃, and the car is like a refrigerator. However, the new seat heating function of Aohu makes us suffer less. In addition, the water temperature of Aohu rises very fast, so that we can enjoy the warm air earlier, It's definitely a great winter benefit.

The first scenic spot to go today is Sun Island, which is one of our planned places and recommended by local. Located on the North Bank of Songhua River, Taiyang island is a multi-functional scenic spot composed of ice and snow culture, folk culture and other resources.

If you have plenty of time, the Russian style garden on Sun Island is also a place worth visiting. It has colorful small houses and beautiful small gardens, which are very suitable for taking photos. However, our time is limited, so we'd better go to the important place on the itinerary. The destination is the most famous landmark building in Harbin - Sophia Cathedral.

Sophia Church is actually very close to central street, about three kilometers, but parking is very troublesome. We went around the church a few times, and the traffic jam took us nearly 40 minutes to solve. Therefore, self driving friends had better stop at the central street instead of moving easily. Here I would like to praise Aohu's reversing image system, which has high screen resolution and very clear image. This is very useful in Harbin, because some roadsides will have high snow, which can be clearly found when parking.

On the last day, I didn't arrange anything. I didn't even set the dining place. I just chose a nearby restaurant called chivalry Teppanyaki. Too many experiences have never been experienced before, especially the test drive on ice and snow. The freedom of different meanings is like a lighthouse in the heart, calling you and reminding you. Once upon a time, I just knew that the speed and passion of the car were extremely satisfying. This time, I realized that the off-road car can also bring people a different feeling. That kind of freedom and transcendence was never felt before. Sometimes we need to take more roads and experience different roads to better understand what distance is.
